Aboriginal Learners' STEM Congress
On Thursday 10 and Friday 11 August, students Eloise, Lucy, Persephone & Harry were at the Convention Centre learning and discovering the world of STEM.
They were lucky to hear from keynote speakers Daniel Riley from Australian Dance Theatre, Mikeala Jade from Indigital, Natan Noel from Environment Protection Authority and Corey Tutt from DeadlyScience.
Students had the best fun; they explored the Museum of Discovery (MOD), AI and technology, created and carved tapping sticks with chisels and become chemists mixing elephants toothpaste.
This year’s theme was “Cultural Innovators”, honouring the deep STEM knowledge within Aboriginal culture and embraces the next generation of thinkers.
We have some wonderful young scientists on our hands!
