Our Week in Sport Term 4 Week 5
Mixed Badminton
It appears as if last week's bye worked wonders for the Open A badminton team, securing a stellar win over St. Peter's (7-4) at the weekend as Duangchai (11) & Carson (9) played starring roles. The win set the tone for the Open B & C teams who followed and also finished victorious against St. Peter's to complete the NIHS sweep.
Unfortunately, it was not to be for the middle teams who suffered defeats at the hands of Glenunga despite the best efforts of Lachlan (8), Agamjot (7) & Ivan (8).
Boys Volleyball
The winning wheels keep on turning for the middle boys volleyballers who have not dropped a set in over a month, comfortably defeating Scotch College (2-0). Lucas (9) & Deyon (9) consistently showed their qualities to aid the team's success.
Girls Volleyball
The girl's volleyball was up and running again on Saturday as many of the teams returned from a week's rest due to byes. The senior side, led by the efforts of Ioanna-Maria (11) & Isabelle (11), returned with precision and power to run out straight sets winners against Mary MacKillop.
The Middle B2 showed tremendous resilience to 'come back from the dead' in their matchup against Marryatville, storming home from a set down to claim the win in a deciding set thriller. Evie (9) & Laila (9) were key contributors in ensuring the team was able to 'stick to their guns' throughout.

Girls Basketball
As the Middle B team sat this week out (bye), it was over to the Middle C girls who took on a strong St. Ignatius side. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of Sally (7) & Natara (9), the girls were unable to overcome the strengths of St. Ignatius, going down 6-48.
Mixed Middle Tennis
Once again, the rain wreaked havoc on the tennis, forcing the match to be postponed.
