Public Education Scholarships
There is an opportunity for some students to apply for a public education scholarship as listed below.
Secondary scholarships:
Friends of Zainab Secondary - Year 10 scholarship - open to current Year 10 refugee students
Friends of Zainab Secondary - Year 11 scholarship - open to current Year 11 refugee students
GO Foundation - PEF Scholarships - open to current ear 8 and Year 10 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in metropolitan SA government high schools
Harding Miller Education Foundation Scholarship - open to eligible female students currently in Year 8
PEF National Secondary Scholarships - offering three different scholarships to eligible Year 9 students:
Financial Hardship
Indigenous
Refugee
VET in Schools Scholarship - open to students currently in Years 9 - 11 enrolled/enrolling in vocational studies through their schools
Tertiary transition scholarships:
Australia for UNHCR Beddie Scholarship - open to current Year 12 (or beyond) students with a refugee background who intend to study film, television or radio studies at a tertiary level in 2023
Friends of Zainab Secondary Tertiary scholarship - open to current Year 12 refugee students to assist in their transitions to University or TAFE for tertiary studies
Please review the link to ensure you meet the specific criteria before applying. Students are also encouraged to seek the support of a staff member with their application. Applications for Secondary scholarships close midnight 13th September, and Tertiary transition applications must be received before Tuesday, 2nd August.
